“Remember those lovely genies who grant wishes? Well, you’re one and you’ve just been emancipated from your restrictive lamp. You can give your three wishes to whomever you want. Who do you give your three wishes to, and why?”
The first people I would grant three wishes to would be my parents. The two people who have given me such a blessed life but have never demanded anything in return. Two quiet, unassuming people who haven’t experienced a fraction of what I have in just half their lifespan. You know that feeling when you hold your child in your arms and wish you could give them the world? That’s how I feel about my parents. They deserve to be spoiled and have everything their big hearts desire.
Now that my parents are sorted, let me just say that if I really had the power to grant wishes I would probably run out of (whatever the genie version of pixie dust is) because I would be giving away wishes like a magic wand powered by Redbull. There are so many individuals and organisations that are performing selfless deeds everyday. These are the people I would grant wishes to. My current charity Teboho Trust would be at the top of that list, along with Nkosi’s Haven (the charity first got involved with).
